Tickets are now on sale for the Sunday, September 15th Dinner and Auction, to be held at the Valencia Hyatt Regency at 24500 Town Center Drive.
Our event starts at 5:30PM with a Cornhole Challenge, appetizers, and silent auction, with dinner beginning at 6:45PM. We will look back at 13 years of Sean’s Fund making a difference in our community and beyond, and we will also look to the future to see the ways that Sean’s Fund will continue to grow. We want you to be there to help us make a difference! Please help a great cause by having a ton of fun on Sunday, September 15th.
The SCV based California Youth Chess League (CYCL) and Sean’s Fund work together to bring the challenging and stimulating game of chess to over 800 school aged children in the Los Angeles area as well as provide support to those battling life threatening diseases such as leukemia.
Sean Reader, for whom the charity was named, was an exceptional chess player who competed in and won tournaments at local, state and national levels. He was only 12 years old when he lost his battle to leukemia. Since that time, his family and friends have worked tirelessly to keep his legacy alive by sharing Sean’s love of chess with other children.
Help a great cause while having a ton of fun with Coach Jay and scores of other CYCL families and supportive members of our community!
Tickets are available for $45 for adults and $25 for children under 12. Please note that after 9/6 ticket prices increase to $55/adult and $30/under 12.
Sean’s Fund is a program of California Youth Chess League, a 501c3 organization. Most cash donations are tax-deductible (non-profit ID# 95-4576468). If you have any questions, please check with your tax adviser to confirm.
